Cazenovia ManorCazenovia Manor and New Beginnings, the agency's community residential programs, are located in residential areas of Buffalo. Both programs offer a supportive alcohol / drug free environment designed to facilitate recovery from chemical dependency, provide an atmosphere for abstinence and encourage the learning of further recovery skills. This level of care differs from the traditional halfway house model by the highly structured nature of the programs and the programs' unique ability to offer services to those who are employed full time, but still need a structured treatment milieu.

Both programs provide individualized tracts of treatment responsive to referral source recommendations. Individualized and group counseling is included in the services provided at this level of care. Specialty groups include Awareness Group, Skill Building Group. Co-case management is emphasized between this level of care and outpatient clinics, in that all residents are required to participate in continuing care counseling. All residents are expected to pursue educational, vocational and employment goals as part of their preparation to return to independent living as productive employed members of society.

Cazenovia Manor is located in the Cazenovia Park area of South Buffalo and has a capacity of 18 men and women. This program are easily accessible by public transportation and are centrally located to many employers. The length of stay is individualized and can vary significantly according to clinical need.

New Beginnings Community ResidenceNew Beginnings Community Residence, was established in 1992 on the west side of Buffalo, New York. Is a 16 bed male facility that is handicapped accessible. This home provides a highly structured residential program to the homeless as well as the working population. The average length of stay is 3-6 months and can vary significantly according to clinical need. Each individual is asked to participate in addiction outpatient treatment and / or vocational services during their residency. Direct care services are provided on site that include 1:1's and group counseling, recovery maintenance, and ADL skills training.

What sometimes appears to be an end - is actually a New Beginning

Purpose of the Residences: The purpose of these homes is to promote recovery from the disease of addiction. Cazenovia Manor / New Beginnings are homes established to serve individuals who are willing to take responsibility for their own recovery. This program believes that there are three pillars that support the house in our purpose.

We believe that because of the insight that it offers into the disease of addiction and the recovery process, self-help is an essential pillar in Cazenovia Manor / New Beginnings. Furthermore, we believe the principles of self-help provide an unparalleled way of restoring one's life back in order. These principles can be the medium in establishing productive relationships with ones self, family and other members of society.
